TWGSB hosted its 70th Celebration Dinner on 24 April 2026.
What an evening to remember and salute our 70 years of positive impact on the world!
Held right here on our Tunbridge Wells campus, in partnership with renowned Thackeray's Events and Fuggles Beer Cafe, this fine-dining event was absolutely stellar from start to finish.
75 guests filled our main hall at the TW campus to raise their glasses, share in the nostalgia, hear an inspiring after-dinner speech by alumnus and world futurist authority Dr. Derek Woodgate | LinkedIn and be reminded of the strength of community amongst present and
past staff, board members, parents and alumni TWGSB.
With 30 of our students assisting in either in the kitchen, as front of house waiters, on the sound desk or as musicians, the event was well and truly TWGSB at its best.
Alum graphic artist Simon Richardson arcade78.com, alum Scott Wishart Photographer – Freelance Portrait, Landscape and Reportage Photographer and Music Label Manager-alums Tom Bassi Home - Flexout Audio and Adam Woolf - all leant in to help elevate this event, both in the pre-event run up and on the night.
Alum Cameron Jones, Jnr Sous Chef at Michelin star Waterside Inn (the Roux Family restaurant) was another star of the evening, alongside of Thackeray’s Chef Patron Patrick Hill who together delivered a sumptuous fine dining experience for our guests.
Headteacher Amanda Simpson spoke superbly on the value proposition of TWGSB at 2026 and Development Manager Ingrid Roberts underscored our right to feel justifiably proud after 70 years of national and international educational impact.
In all, this was a night to remember at milestone number 70.
Thanks to all for bringing their glitz and glamour to this most memorable occasion.
