We are saddened to hear of the passing of former Headteacher, John Hodnett (1976 to 1988)

We have recently heard that John Hodnett who was the Headteacher of TWGSB from 1976 to 1988 sadly passed away in the summer of 2022. John was early 93 years of age and had moved to North Wales upon retirement at the end of the summer term 1988.

Thank you to Derek Barnard (Headteacher 1988 to 2006) for sending this in.

These are the only two photos we can find of Mr. Hodnett, so if anyone has any others or any contact with someone who might write an obituary for him, or who went to the funeral and might have a copy of the Order of Service that we can compile a small tribute to him on this site, please do get in touch: connect@twgsboys.kent.sch.uk

If you see yourself or peers in these photos please do comment below, or indeed if you have any memories you would like to share with the community in the spirit of his passing, again, please do comment below. (you need to be registerd with TWGSB CONNECT to view comments and photo albums as well as some stories - just click on 'join us' on the home page and connect yourself with your offline profile)

With many thanks,

Lucy Tipler (Marketing & Development Manager)
