Prefects 202526 – TWGSB

Head student welcome - Will Perry.

Hello, my name is Will and I’m proud to say that I am one of the head students for the academic year 2025-2026. It is an honour to represent such an ambitious and vibrant school community. Here at TWGSB we are encouraged to aim high not only in an academic sense but also as individuals. The school promotes curiosity, resilience, and kindness and I have seen first-hand how it helps students to grow and develop. As head student I’m looking forward to work closely with staff and students to help make this school the best it can be. To any prospective parents or students, I can say with confidence that TWGSB is a place where you’ll be supported, challenged and inspired.

With all these points in mind I look forward to working with Olivia and Ollie to create a truly special sixth form experience and for the school over and am excited to earn money for each of our charity’s.

My name is Olivia, and I am very grateful to be in the position as one of the head students between the 2025 and 2026 period. I joined in September 2024 and as a female student I have felt so welcomed by staff and students alike. I wish to continue this feeling of belonging which I felt when I joined as I believe that is the difference between a student integrating into a school immediately instead of over a period of time. As a head student I pride myself on being an approachable person that sixth form and younger students feel they can talk to. This is important to me because I know that building an environment where there is a sense of support in open communication will produce confident and well-spoken students. Our aim to be the best selective boys’ school in West Kent will not only be true in the sense of educational knowledge but also in real world knowledge.

I am also determined to make a difference for my charity, Hospices of Hope, a charity which is very personal to me. Working in a team with Will and Ollie to raise money for each of our charities across the next year will be a wonderful experience. As well as working with the rest of the incredible senior prefect team to provide an unforgettable experience for the whole of year 13. I very much look forward to the opportunities ahead to make a positive impact on the school.

My name is Ollie, and I am honoured to be the deputy head student for this year. I aim to work with the head students and the excellent team of senior prefects to create an enjoyable sixth form for all our students. I have a very strong passion for sport and would love to get everyone else to feel the same through many different events throughout this school year. One other ambition of mine as deputy head student is to get everyone in the school community trained in the life saving skill of CPR because this has special relevance to me. This is now easily achievable due to the app made by the British Heart Foundation called RevivR which takes just 10 minutes from our phones.

I am dedicated to helping Will and Olivia in raising as much money as possible for their chosen charities via many new fundraising ideas and also striving to help them develop on the great sense of community which is already present in our school.
